Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a phone conversation with President-elect Dr. Mohammed Muizzu.

The Turkish government said Erdogan called Muizzu earlier Saturday to congratulate him on his election victory.

The main topic during the call was the Israeli attacks on Palestine. They discussed efforts to prevent the attacks and provide humanitarian assistance.

Erdogan also assured that new ways are being sought to establish peace in the Middle East and provide humanitarian aid to Palestine.

Israeli attacks since October 7 have killed 4,137 Palestinians. The Israeli government has been blocking humanitarian assistance to the civilians.

Since Muizzu's election victory in September, he has been congratulated by the leaders of major Islamic countries and world powers.
