Five injured after gas cylinder explosion at Hulhumale’ cafe

Four people have been hospitalised following a gas cylinder explosion at a cafe in Hulhumale' Phase 1.

In a message to the media, police confirmed that the incident occurred at a cafe located near the 'Ruhgandu 1' area.

Authorities stated that a total of five individuals sustained varying degrees of injury in the blast.

"A total of five people were injured in this incident, four of whom have been transported to Hulhumale' Hospital for medical treatment," the police stated.

The cause of the explosion remains unknown at this time. Police added that emergency teams are currently on-site responding to the fire incident.
