The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Cyber Security Council is helping to build a Police Data Centre in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held on Sunday. The UAE Cyber Security Council agreed to carry out the project in July 2023.
The centre will provide facilities for data analysis and will also make it easier for the police to conduct their work.
"The Police Data Centre will be set up with the assistance of the UAE Cyber Security Council and will be equipped with modern facilities and services," the police said.
The land for the centre was allocated in 2023. The UAE Cyber Security Council earlier established various facilities at the Police College in Addu city.
