The Fuvahmulah City Magistrate Court has issued an order to shut down a "drug cafe".
Under the court order issued on Wednesday, authorities closed the drug cafe operating at Gulisthanuge for a period of 85 days.
It is a criminal offense to enter the property without authorization during the court-ordered closure period.
The police have warned that they will take the strictest legal action against anyone who trespasses or causes damage to the site.
In a statement, the police expressed their gratitude to the public for their continued assistance and cooperation.
Authorities confirmed that efforts are underway to identify other locations used for drug trafficking and consumption.
While the Criminal Court has previously ordered the closure of drug cafes in Male', this marks the first time a court has issued such an order for a facility located outside the capital.
