MindChamps International Preschool, Maldives: Where Little Champs Begin Their Journey

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the first MindChamps International Preschool in the Maldives soon. Situated in the heart of Malé, our state-of-the-art facility is designed to redefine early childhood education, providing a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

We are committed to providing the highest quality education, ensuring that every child achieves their fullest potential.

Why Choose MindChamps International Preschool, Maldives?

At MindChamps, we believe every child is unique and has the potential to become a champion in their own right. Our unique 3-Mind Education Model—Champion Mind, Learning Mind, and Creative Mind—is complemented by our holistic S.M.I.L.E.S. approach (Sensory, Motor, Intellectual, Linguistic, Emotional, and Social Development). This model ensures your child develops both academically and personally, preparing them to be well-rounded individuals poised for future success.

Our Principal: Dr. Amathullah Shakeeb

The school will be led by Dr. Amathullah Shakeeb (Amath Aunty), a passionate Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience in the Maldives and Australia, in roles ranging from teaching to management. Her expertise in diversity, inclusion, and child-centred learning ensures a stimulating and supportive environment for our students.

Languages & Enrichment Programs

We offer an engaging, phonemic approach to learning Dhivehi and Arabic, enabling students to start reading at an early stage. Arabic is crucial for accessing and understanding Islamic texts, including the Holy Quran, which our children are required to read at an early stage. By teaching the basics of the Arabic language, including common vocabulary, we build a foundation for children's comprehension of religious texts, encouraging a deeper connection to Islam. Our phonemic approach, which emphasizes the relationship between sounds and their corresponding letters, helps children understand the fundamental building blocks of reading and writing. By recognizing and manipulating phonemes, children can develop strong reading skills, laying the foundation for future academic success.

Our enrichment programs encompass language, creative arts, and physical education to ensure a well-rounded education for every child. Our preschool is equipped with a gym designed to promote physical development and healthy living. Physical activities and structured play are integral to our curriculum, helping children develop motor skills, coordination, and overall fitness.

Experienced Educators & Low Student-Teacher Ratio

Our highly qualified educators are dedicated to providing personalized learning experiences. With a low student-teacher ratio, we ensure each child receives the attention they deserve, creating a nurturing and effective learning environment.

MindChamps is recognized as a global education leader, with a research team comprising experts in education, psychology, neuroscience, and theatre. Our Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Allan Snyder, a world-renowned neuroscientist, leads our research and development efforts.

The project requires over 1,000 hectares to meet the government's original housing targets.

The Federal Reserve's 0.25% interest rate hike is expected to worsen the dollar shortage in the Maldives by driving capital back to the U.S. This shift increases global borrowing costs and debt servicing expenses for the import-dependent nation, placing significant strain on its budget and requiring more effective fiscal management.
