Foreign worker at Sinamale' bridge dies

A foreign worker on the Sinamale' bridge connecting Male' and Hulhule' died on Monday night.

Police said an Indian national working on the bridge fainted and was taken to Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale'.

The man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, police said citing officials from the Tree Top Hospital.

China Communications Construction Company Second Harbor Engineering Company is carrying out the maintenance work of Sinamale' bridge.

According to the Construction Ministry, the project was awarded under a three-year contract for USD 3.6 million.
