A 14-year-old boy is in serious condition following an accident in Fuvahmulah city last night.
Police on patrol duty found the boy and the motorcycle in Malegan district. He was immediately taken to the hospital.
According to the police, he was in serious condition. The details of his injuries are unclear.
It is not clear whether the child drove the motorcycle.
Police have not yet released any further information on the incident, but an investigation is underway.
