Changes in status based on complaints submitted over the provisional list of flat recipients under the 'Gedhoruveriyaa' housing scheme can be viewed through the online portal, the Housing Ministry said on Wednesday.
Complaints are under consideration and the list will be updated with status changes if required, the ministry tweeted.
The deadline for submitting complaints passed on August 22.
The Housing Ministry has also been visiting the homes of eligible applicants to inspect living conditions before finalizing the list of recipients. The ministry is trying to publish the final list next week, it added.
More than 15,000 people were deemed eligible for flats under the 'Gedhoruveriyaa' housing scheme according to the provisional list published on August 8. That is 13,000 flats.
The government is building 32 towers in the second phase of Hulhumale' under the scheme. Each tower is 18-storeys.
The towers will have 1,200 two-bedroom apartments and 2,800 three-bedroom apartments making a total of 4000 apartments.
An agreement was signed with an Indian company on August 2 to build an additional 4,000 flats under the scheme.
State minister Akram Kamaluddin told Adhadhu that negotiations were ongoing for a project to build 3000 additional flats in Hulhumale'.
He added that the government also has plans to build 3,500 more flats in order to guarantee housing for all eligible applicants.
