The Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage has announced today that it is seeking a public relations firm to manage the media operations and enhance the public image of the ministry and its departments.

According to the announcement, the ministry is looking to contract a PR firm for a two-year period. Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals to the National Museum building by 11:30 am on Tuesday, July 14.

The responsibilities of the PR firm will include rebranding and improving the public image of the ministry and its affiliated institutions, as well as raising public awareness regarding the ministry’s programs, policies, and activities.

Furthermore, the firm will be tasked with strengthening relations with the media and the public, increasing the ministry’s presence across digital platforms, and ensuring timely communication of official information.

The firm will be responsible for managing the PR affairs of the Heritage Ministry and six institutions under its jurisdiction: the National Centre for the Arts (NCA), the National Centre for Cultural Heritage, the Dhivehi Bahuge Academy, the National Bureau of Classification, the National Archives of Maldives, and the National Library of Maldives.

The ministry has requested that those seeking further information contact them via email at procurement@mach.gov.mv or by calling 7660603.

The decision to hire a PR firm comes at a time when the government is implementing cost-cutting measures, including efforts to reduce the workforce within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
