A woman has sustained injuries after falling from the second floor of a house in Male'.
Police said the 42-year-old woman fell from the second floor of a house in Mahchangolhi district at around 4:00 am.
She suffered a fractured ankle during the fall and is receiving further treatment at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
Police said further investigations were underway, but did not provide additional details.
In April, a 21-year-old woman survived a ninth-floor fall from a building in Henveiru district of Male'.
Following protests connected to the police response, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu formed an inquiry commission into the matter.
Last week, the commission finalised its findings and submitted the inquiry report to the President's Office.
