Speaker Abdul Raheem to attend IPU meeting in Uzbekistan

Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla has left for Uzbekistan today to attend the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting.

Abdul Raheem was accompanied by five MPs to attend the 150th Assembly of the IIPU in Tashkent.

He was accompanied by Hithadhoo South MP Ibrahim Nazil, Maafannu Central MP Asma Rasheed, Hura MP Anara Naeem, Maafannu South MP Abdullah Rifau and Henveiru South MP Hussain Imran Latheef.

The topic to be officially debated at this year's IPU Assembly is 'Parliamentary Action for Social Development and Justice.'
