Around 130 cartons of cigarettes have been stolen from the Euro Store warehouse in Fuvahmulah.
A pack of cigarettes is now sold at MVR 240. A carton contains 10 packs of cigarettes. This means the value of the stolen cigarettes is estimated at more than MVR 3 million.
However, no arrests have been made so far. Police said an investigation was underway but did not provide details.
