The feasibility test and study for the project to redevelop all the roads in Male' and Villimale' have been completed.
In a post on X, the Infrastructure Ministry said the work on assessing the condition of roads by discussing with relevant parties has been completed by Thursday.
The ministry added that the feasibility test for the road redevelopment has also been completed by Thursday.
The ministry stated that the next stage of the project is designing the new roads.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu pledged to redevelop roads in Male' and Villimale' during last year's presidential election.
Construction Minister Dr. Abdulla Muththalib said in January that the road development project will cost more than USD 100 million.
But President Muizzu later announced that Chinese grant aid had been secured for the road development project.
