Male' Maldives (October 16) - Maldives National Cricket team will compete in the upcoming Bhutan's T20i Quadrangular Series.
The Maldives will compete from October 19 to 25 in the inaugural tournament to mark the opening of Bhutan's first-ever international cricket ground. The host nation, Bhutan, will face off against the Maldives, Thailand, and Indonesia.
"This will be the first ever International tournament to be held in the mountain nation of Bhutan. Credit to Bhutan Cricket for the planning and building of the new cricket ground and the initiative to host this competition," the Cricket Board of Maldives stated in a social media announcement.
Maldives will kick off their campaign on October 19 with their first match against Indonesia, followed by a game against Bhutan the next day. Their final group match will be against Thailand on October 22.
The semi-finals are scheduled for October 23, the third-place match for October 24, and the grand final will take place on October 25.
The Maldives team will be coached by Ismail Nihadh and Ahmed Neesham Nasir, with Yoosuf Azyan Farhath serving as captain and Adam Nasif Umar as vice captain.
