Police have said a man who was discovered inside a guesthouse in Male' with severe injuries is undergoing emergency treatment.
Police received a report that there had been no news of a man staying in a guesthouse in Henveiru district of Male'.
Police entered the man's room and found him lying with serious injuries. Police said the man was a Maldivian national. No further details were provided.
He has been transferred to the hospital and is being treated in the ICU, police said.
A police investigative team is currently at the guesthouse.
