Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer is scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia tonight to attend an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The Foreign Ministry said Zameer is attending an open-ended extraordinary meeting of the OIC Executive Committee in Jeddah tomorrow.
The meeting is about the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people and the recent attack on Iran. The foreign ministerial meeting is being held at the request of both Palestine and Iran.
All OIC member countries will participate in the meeting. They will discuss Israel's genocide and the assassination of Hamas leader and former Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh in Iran last week.
Zameer will address the OIC emergency meeting during his one-day trip to Saudi Arabia.
