Bag and drone stolen from tourist in Fuvahmulah

A tourist has been robbed while on vacation in Fuvahmulah.

In a video circulating on social media, the tourist described how he was robbed of his bad and drone after he went swimming.

He said that two boys between the ages of 15 and 17 approached him and asked about the drone while he was operating it. The boys spoke to him for about three minutes, he added.

The tourist said he went swimming after leaving the drone and bag at the beach.

He added that the bag contained his phone, wallet and motorbike keys. He had about MVR 1500 and USD 200 in his wallet.

Police said they had identified a suspect and further investigations were underway.
