Indian workers involved in a government housing project in Hulhumale' second phase have gone on strike.
The government contracted India's JMC Projects Limited to build 2000 housing units under the flat scheme.

JMC employees were on strike Tuesday evening. Several employees who were near the project site told Adhadhu that they were not going to work.
The workers complained about the quality of meals provided to them. A lot of police officers were also in the area.
Adhadhu understands that the workers have been on strike for about four days now.
