Police have launched an investigation after a Chinese tourist was allegedly raped on a resort in Kaafu atoll.
According to police, the rape was reported on June 6. Samples have been taken and interrogations are underway, they added.
But no suspects have been detained.
According to some reports, the Chinese woman who was holidaying in the Maldives was raped by a male employee of the resort.
