Despite receiving 196 complaints last year, mostly against the police, the commission struggled with only four to nine staff members. NewsImmigration officer dies following motorcycle collision
A 26-year-old Maldives Immigration officer has died following a two-motorcycle collision in Malé. Two men were also injured in the crash, with one 21-year-old suspect currently in police custody. The court has ordered the suspect to be detained for 15 days as investigations continue.
