Dhiraagu Male' Open participants can collect their race kits from Dhiraagu Head Office

Dhiraagu has commenced the distribution of race kits for the 'Dhiraagu Male’ Open 2026', the largest open-water swimming competition held in the Maldives.

According to Dhiraagu, kit collection for registered participants will take place from August 18 to 20. The kits will be available daily between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm at the 'DMO Expo' held at the Dhiraagu Head Office.

The race kits include:

  • The official competition t-shirt
  • A swim cap

The objectives of this competition are to promote open-water swimming in the Maldives, foster public interest in the sport, and raise awareness regarding the conservation of the Maldivian marine environment.

  • Individual categories: 1km, 500m, and 250m
  • Team category: 500m team relay

The newly introduced 500m team relay offers an excellent opportunity for friends, families, or members of swimming clubs to participate together as a team. Dhiraagu continues to support inclusive sporting and social activities that encourage healthy lifestyles and strengthen community bonds.
