The government has appointed four additional members to the board of Visit Maldives (formerly MMPRC), the state-owned corporation responsible for tourism promotion.

According to an announcement by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), the newly appointed members are:

  • Huda Faheem
  • Aishath Malha
  • Ali Sinan
  • Aishath Ali

With these four appointments, the 11-member board of Visit Maldives is now fully constituted.

According to the company’s website, the board currently includes Chairperson Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz, CEO and MD Ibrahim Shiuree, as well as Maha Naseer, Aminath Vulau Mohamed Nazim, Abdul Sameeu Imad, Aishath Hameed, and Sabeeha Ahmed.

The primary objective of Visit Maldives is the global promotion of Maldivian tourism. As part of its mandate, the corporation is responsible for all activities related to the marketing, promotion, and advertising of the Maldives as a premier destination.
