The President appoints new members to the Cabinet.

President Mohamed Muizzu's cabinet was restructured yesterday with the dismissal of 10 ministers, but without a new appointment to the Minister of Defence position.

With this reshuffle, the total number of cabinet ministers has been reduced from 20 to 15. Only 12 ministers took their oaths of office during yesterday's ceremony.

Cabinet announced with four newcomers, Heena, Geela, Iruthisham and Ali Shareef

A new cabinet has been announced following the resignation of 10 ministers. The reshuffle introduces four newcomers—Heena, Geela, Iruthisham, and Ali Shareef.

The President's Office stated that in addition to the 12 ministers, the cabinet will include Attorney General Ahmed Usham and the heads of two other ministries.

It is widely expected that one of these positions will be held by Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam, who was absent from the list of ministers dismissed today.

The remaining seat is expected to be the Minister of Defence. Ghassan Maumoon, who previously held the portfolio, was among those removed from their posts.
