Late drama stunned the league leaders as Ahmed Maaish Rasheed (Maai) struck in the dying moments to secure TC Sports Club a 1–1 draw against ten-man Maziya Sports & Recreation.
Maziya were reduced to ten players in the first half after Ibrahim Aisam was sent off, yet the champions still took the lead early in the second half through Naiz Hassan (Dhaadhu).
The draw brought an end to Maziya’s perfect start to the season, as they dropped points for the first time after winning their opening ten matches in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.
With all teams now having played 11 matches, Maziya remain top of the table with 31 points, holding a three-point lead over second-placed Odi Sports Club on 28 points. Buru Sports Club capitalised on New Radiant Sports Club’s defeat to climb into third place. Buru and New Radiant are level on 20 points, with Buru ahead on goal difference.
Victory Sports Club sit fifth with 16 points, followed by Club Eagles in sixth on 13 points. Club Green Streets occupy seventh place with eight points, while United Victory and Club Valencia are eighth and ninth respectively, both on seven points. TC Sports Club remain bottom of the table with six points.
Elsewhere, Club Green Streets claimed an important 1–0 win over Club Valencia, registering their second victory of the 2025/26 Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League season. Egyptian defender El Sayed scored the decisive goal.
Odi Sports Club produced a commanding performance to defeat United Victory 5–1, reducing the gap to league leaders Maziya Sports & Recreation to just three points.
Victory Sports Club completed a comeback and exacted revenge on arch-rivals New Radiant Sports Club with a 3–1 victory, moving up to fifth place in the standings. Club Eagles captain Rizuvan Ahmed (Rizey) featured in his final match for Eagles before making his debut for Victory SC against New Radiant, the same club he was close to joining during the transfer window. Rizey assisted the opening goal for Slovakian forward Miloš Lačný, who also netted the winner.
Buru Sports Club edged past Club Eagles in a thrilling 3–2 encounter to move into third place. Mohamed Naaim starred for Buru with a brace, while Ibrahim Usaamaa Hassan Majeed also found the net. Veteran Shamweel Qasim (Bonda), aged 43, scored for Eagles, while Ibrahim Mahudhee (Feydhoo Ibbe) had earlier given them the lead.
