Former President Abdulla Yameen has said he will give 20 marks out of 100 for the first two years of President Mohamed Muizzu's government.
Speaking at the Rise Up Youth event held in Hulhumale' Phase 2 on Friday night, Yameen said the country's situation has gone back five centuries.
Using a global index to rate the performance of governments, Yameen rated the work of the current government in its first two years.

- Efficiency - Three out of 10
"I can only give 20 marks out of 100 for the result sheet. A big time failure, a big time failure. I used scientific methodology, there's no question about it," Yameen said.
He said that Muizzu's government does not listen to the people and there were no foreign investors as the economy weakens.
"The whole economy has been destroyed. People have no money to spend. Then how can they pay their rent? It's so bad. The fact is, figures don't lie."
Yameen added that the government has to resort to money printing to finance next year's budget, while there is nothing to show for the incurring debt.
The leader of the People's National Front (PNF), who ruled the country from 2013 to 2018, has announced that he will contest the 2028 presidential election.
He was unable to contest the last presidential election in 2023 because he was serving a sentence for corruption. However, the Supreme Court acquitted him.
