Three people have gone missing at sea after their landing craft capsized.
The 100-foot landing craft was travelling from Male' to Reethi Rah Resort.
"Four people have been rescued so far," the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said.
The vessel was carrying a total of seven people. It is unclear whether the missing three are locals or foreigners.
In a post on Facebook, the Marine Police said the vessel capsized at around 3:48 am, one mile away from Aailaafushi Resort.
The Coast Guard and police are continuing the search for the missing people.
