A video of a police crime scene involving minors has been leaked on social media.
The video was taken when four suspects, including popular television presenter and sports host Nafiu Rasheed (Nappe), were arrested on charges of exploiting minors.
Two of the suspects, two minors and two police officers were seen in the video.
It is prohibited for anyone other than police officers to enter or leave crime scenes under investigation. But the police claim the video was not recorded by them.
In a statement, the police said the video was not recorded by a "police officer at the crime scene."
The video, which is circulating on Facebook, had received 57,000 views by Sunday afternoon.
Disclosing personal information of minors is an offence under the Child Rights Protection Act. Article 34 of the Act states that no person shall disclose personal information of children in a manner that harms their dignity.

The video of a police crime scene began circulating at a time when the Maldives Police Service had been accused of leaking private information of two opposition female activists after confiscating their mobile phones.
Police denied they were behind the leak, but social media users were angered by their response. Hundreds of people have called for the authorities to be held accountable.
