President Mohamed Muizzu's family company Dhimyaath Private Limited has sponsored a fourth first division football club.
TC Sports Club is the fourth club sponsored by Cafe Damietta, which operates under the company.
The company earlier sponsored New Radiant Sports Club, Club Eagles and Victory Sports Club.
The sponsorship value remains unclear.
This is the first time that four first division clubs have been sponsored by the same company simultaneously.
Some members of the public have raised questions about this.
Muizzu's wife Sajida Mohamed, their daughter and two sons own shares in Dhimyaath Private Limited.
Adhadhu was unable to get a comment from Sajidha.
