Lily Enterprises has suffered a loss of MVR 10 million due to a fire at the Lily F&B Suppliers 1 shop near the local market in Male'.
The fire broke out in the two-storey shop early on Sunday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident.
An official of Lily Enterprises told Adhadhu today that the shop contained goods worth more than MVR 2 million.
The official said a wooden deck was also burnt down and the entire building will have to be rebuilt.
“The damage caused by the incident is expected to exceed MVR 10 million,” he said.
The official, citing police, said the fire was caused by a power circuit shortage.
