A massive fire has disrupted the work of three government ministries. One building has been completely destroyed while other buildings nearby have been damaged extensively.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. Firefighters and police are active on the scene, but the blaze continued raging for hours.
Home Minister Ali Ihusaan told Adhadhu that the buildings of the Infrastructure Ministry, Housing Ministry and Environment Ministry were completely burnt down, with their operations at a halt.
These three key government ministries have not yet announced the dates and methods of resumption of work. The government is expected to announce the damage and the future actions of the ministries in the near future.
No injuries were reported in the incident, Minister Ihusaan said.
