According to the Carrom Association, the next three months will be crucial for preparation as players sharpen their skills and build momentum for the world stage. The 7th edition of the tournament is expected to be one of the most competitive yet, with over five former world champions confirmed to participate.
The event will also welcome members of the International Carrom Federation’s executive committee, further elevating the prestige of hosting the tournament in Malé.
Both the Carrom Association of Maldives and the government have pledged to ensure a smooth and world-class event. For the players, the opportunity to perform in front of a passionate home crowd is both an inspiration and an added motivation to push for gold.
As anticipation builds, the Maldives squad will carry not only the nation’s hopes but also the chance to write a new chapter in the country’s sporting history.
