Three Sri Lankans to be deported for selling alcohol

Police have detained three Sri Lankan nationals for allegedly selling alcohol.

Police said the three men are also accused of keeping and consuming alcohol.

They were arrested on August 27 after raiding a house and a motorcycle.

Police seized 19 alcohol bottles and 12 beer cans during the operation.

The suspects are 29-year-old Senith Heshan Wickramasinghe, 39-year-old Dulit Madsaka and 24-year-old Jinitha Madranga Senavirathin.

Police said the three have now been handed over to Immigration for deportation.

The operation was jointly conducted by Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence.
