Male', Maldives: Most successful athlete in Maldives, Hassan Saaid expressed his pride and gratitude after another successful outing at the 34th National Athletics Championship, where he secured gold medals in both the 100m sprint and the 4x100m relay.
“It’s always an honor to compete at the Nationals,” Saaid, 32, said following his victories.
“Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to win many medals and share the track with athletes from different generations. To still be here, winning and enjoying the journey, means everything.”
Saaid, widely regarded as Maldives’ most decorated track athletes, continues to shine despite a career spanning well over a decade. His latest triumphs add to an already remarkable list of accolades, further cementing his place as a role model in Maldivian athletics.
“Being part of this championship again and standing on the podium is very special,” he added.
“I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way, family, coaches, teammates, and fans. Without them, none of this would have been possible.”
With his recent triumphs, Saaid has once again showcased his consistency and longevity, inspiring the next generation of athletes while reinforcing the legacy he continues to build on the track.
