A foreigner has been found dead in the Aari Kilhi wetland of Addu city today.
Police said they received the report at around 9:33 am.
The man was pronounced dead when taken to Addu Equatorial Hospital.
Police have not disclosed any information about the deceased.
They said further investigations were underway.
MDP activist Mohamed Shamin was released from police custody after being detained for allegedly crossing barricades during a protest.
