Police have arrested two suspects who tried to flee after attacking a man with a hatchet.
The incident was reported to police at 11:35 pm on Saturday. The suspects attacked a man near the Rehendhi Turf ground in Hulhumale'.
The two attackers tried to flee and were stopped and arrested on the highway to Male'.
The suspects are Rusthum Ibrahim, 25, and Saifullah Faisal, 19. The hatchet and a knife were confiscated from them.
The victim was treated at the Hulhumale' Hospital and has now been discharged.
