Police have nabbed a thief within three hours of stealing a bag from a Chinese tourist.
Police said the bag was reported missing at 7:12 pm from in front of Marrybrown restaurant in Male'.
The bag was recovered at 10:15 pm by the Galolhu district police station and handed over to the owner.
"Some of the items in the bag were recovered after they had been sold off. The items included a laptop, hard drive, power bank, passport and clothes," police said.
Police detained Zabeeh Mohamed, 41, in connection to the case and said further investigations were underway.
