Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (September 13): Six players from Revival Sports Badminton Academy are set to compete in the Rawang Open Badminton Tournament 2024.
The tournament, organized by the Rawang Badminton Club, will take place from September 14th to 15th, 2024. The club was once a prominent force in the now-defunct Malaysia Purple League Junior.
Joining the Revival Sports Badminton Academy players will be junior players from the Malaysian Badminton Association and competitors from Indonesia. The Revival Sports Badminton Academy participants will compete in the Under-10 Girls/Boys Singles, Under-12 Girls Singles, and Under-15 Girls Singles categories.
Revival Sports Badminton Academy stated, "This moment marks a pivotal step towards nurturing future badminton champions, and we wish them all the best in the tournament."
The team from Revival Badminton Academy includes Aishath Sienna Mohamed Saeed, Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem, Aishath Alaya Nadeem, Aishath Yoomie Ali Ahmed, Aishath Nyam Saaidh, and Aishath Laina Rifau. They are poised to make a mark in their first international tournament under the guidance of coach Ahmed Thoif Mohamed and manager Ahmed Shanif.
