Remand detention has been extended for two people arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a Nepali in a Male’ guesthouse.
The two suspects arrested in the case were both Bangladeshis. On Wednesday, the court extended the remand of one of the suspects by a further 15 days. According to police, the second suspect also remains in custody after his detention was extended.
The Nepali victim was kidnapped and kept in a guesthouse in Maafannu. The man did not have any injuries when he was rescued, police said.
