Official talks have been held between Maldives and India on Thursday.
Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer held the talks with India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in New Delhi.
According to the Foreign Ministry, both sides engaged in discussions on all aspects of the partnership to forge opportunities for future collaboration.
"Both Ministers expressed commitment to continue working closely together, bilaterally and in international arena, on priority areas of mutual interest," read a press release.
This is Zameer's first visit to India as the Foreign Minister of the government of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The visit comes as relations between Maldives and India have deteriorated since Muizzu assumed office in November 2023.
