The official website of the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology has been hacked with a warning.
A group called "Indian Cyber Force" took responsibility for the hacking in a photo posted on the website's front page. A warning was made against the Maldives in the photo.
The hacking was "in response to the Maldives' anti-India action" and "just the beginning of the destruction," it stated. The Maldives should remember its history and India had provided assistance whenever the country needed help, the warning said.
"The website is down due to a technical problem. Work is ongoing on solving the problem," the Home Ministry said about the incident.
The Juvenile Court's website and Auditor General's Office Facebook page were also hacked recently by Indian hackers over derogatory remarks made by three Maldivian deputy ministers against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
