The Maldives Immigration has decided that Maldivians who travel in and out of the country do not need to fill out the Imuga Traveler Declaration Form.
The decision was taken by Mohamed Shamaan Waheed, who officially took over as the Controller of Immigration. He made the decision to make travel as easy as possible for the people, the agency said.
There were complaints from the public that such a form had to be filled out before traveling.
Everyone coming in and out of the country has been required to fill out the Imuga form since July 15 2020. The form was introduced during the Covid pandemic. The form was changed online on March 14 2021.
