A 13-year-old girl who went missing from Lhaviyani Naifaru on September 28 was found on the island on Monday.
The photo and details of the missing girl were publicised on Sunday night and the police appealed for public help.
Police on Monday evening announced that the girl had been found.
The girl named Khadeejath Mysara Abubakuru Faisal was found five days after she was last seen.
Police have not provided further details.
