Police have revealed that forensic analysis is currently underway in the murder investigation of Naeema Moosa.
Sixty-two-year-old Naeema Moosa was found dead on Noonu Manadhoo island on April 7. Three suspects were detained in early June.
Police spokesman Yoonus Sobah told Adhadhu that the investigation is not yet complete as forensic analysis is still underway.
“We are trying to send the case to the Prosecutor General's office as soon as possible. It is difficult to say how long it will take,” Yoonus said.

Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed said that the police found two knives that were used to stab Naeema as well as the clothes worn by the assailants at the time. The evidence was uncovered after it was burned and buried.
Several police forensic experts took part in the murder investigation on the island. DNA samples were also taken from many residents.
When Naeema was found dead, there was a lot of blood on the ground. She was stabbed multiple times.
Naeema was 62 years of age when she died. She was survived by three children. While she was married twice, neither of her husbands is now alive.
