Illegally parked vehicles will be towed from Monday (February 23), police said.

In an announcement on the government gazette, the police said vehicles belonging to zones other than A Zone will also be towed.

Illegally parked vehicles in various parts of Male' and vehicles from zones other than Male' should be removed before 11:30 pm on Monday, police said.

Vehicles towed after that date will be taken to a place designated by the police.

Police said they will not be responsible for any damage to the vehicle while it is being transported and seized.

Police said it is the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle to remove it from the tow yard.
