The Information Commissioner's Office (ICOM) has ordered relevant institutions to disclose details of President Mohamed Muizzu and Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef's trips within five days.

In September 2025, a private individual requested details of the visits of the President and Vice President. But the President's Office has not yet responded about the Vice President's trips.

Regarding the President's trips, the President's Office claimed that the details of the President's trips were being disclosed. However, the President's Office did not fully respond to the question.

At the ICOM hearing on Sunday (February 9), Information Commissioner Ahmed Ahid Rasheed ordered the details of the Vice President's trips within five days because there has been a major delay in providing the information.

He added that the President's Office must provide full information about the President's trips.

At the hearing, the President’s Office Information Officer, Aishath Aqeeda Hassan, said the institution was working to compile and disclose details of the President and Vice President's trips.

"We are in the process of compiling the details of the foreign visits of the President and the Vice President. The work is underway, and once the work is completed, the information will be shared publicly," she said.

The President's Office used to regularly disclose details of the visits of the President and Vice President, but the information has not been publicised since mid-2025.
