Abdulla Jameel Moosa has been appointed the acting Chief Judge of High Court.
In a social media post, the High Court announced that Jameel had been appointed the acting Chief Judge.
Before him, Mohamed Faisal was the acting Chief Judge of the High Court. It is unclear why he was replaced by Jameel.
On April 17, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) approved Faisal as the High Court Chief Judge. But his official appointment has not taken place for seven months.
Jameel has previously worked as a judge in the Civil Court and as a magistrate in Laamu Dhanbidhoo court. He took the oath as a judge of High Court on August 3.
