Hundreds of people have gathered in Male' calling for the end of the occupation of Gaza.

The rally was held at the Maafannu Stadium on Friday evening. Participants included a woman and a child who had suffered Israeli atrocities.

Government officials, prominent politicians, journalists and civil society organizations participated in the rally.

The rally was held in the Maldives as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla Movement, launched by 44 countries against the Israeli army's inhuman acts in Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been continuously attacking Gaza and carrying out genocide against the Palestinian people.

More than 58,000 people have been killed while more than 139,000 have been injured.
