Islamic Minister Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has strongly condemned the Zionist storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a post on X, Shaheem said the international community should take immediate action to prevent such acts.

"We strongly condemn the extremist Zionist groups’ violations in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and we call on the international community to take urgent action to stop these practices that violate international resolutions and conventions," he said.

Zionists, including ministers, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday with the help of Israeli security forces.

Israel and Jordan have signed an agreement not to conduct Jewish religious services at the Al-Aqsa Mosque but Israel repeatedly violates the agreement.

Maldives believes that Palestinians can get their rights and achieve a lasting solution to the conflict by establishing an independent state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
