A rally has been planned to take place in Male' on Friday to celebrate the withdrawal of Zionist troops from Gaza.

The rally Gaza'ge Nasru (Gaza's Victory) will be held at 4:00 pm tomorrow at the Artificial Beach. It is organized by the Isra Association.

Israel invaded Gaza on October 7, 2023, after declaring war in retaliation for a surprise attack by Hamas on Israel.

More than 46,000 people, including 17,000 children, have been martyred and 11,000 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza.

An agreement to end the Israeli genocide in Gaza came after talks mediated by Qatar. Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire in phases.

The first phase began on Sunday and will last for six weeks. At this phase:

  • Israel and Hamas will halt attacks
  • Displaced Gazans will be able to return to their own homes
  • Hamas will release 33 prisoners. They include women, children and people over the age of 50.
  • Israel will release about 1,000 prisoners, including those serving life sentences and those arrested by Israel after October 7, 2023
  • Israeli troops will leave the most populated areas and retreat up to 700 meters from the Gaza-Israel border
  • Israel will allow 600 aid trucks into Gaza every day
  • Israel will allow wounded Palestinians to cross the border into Egypt for medical treatment starting next Sunday

The actions to be taken in the second and third phases will be discussed during the six weeks of the first phase.

Gaza residents are celebrating the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza. Celebrations are also being held around the world this week.
