Police have discovered during an ongoing operation to curb the circulation of nude pictures and videos that 43 Telegram channels were used to sell explicit content involving children.

Three suspects were arrested after an investigation by the Police cyber crime center. In a statement, police revealed that some of the seized Telegram channels had been used to circulate child pornography.

"The investigation also found that 43 channels were operated to post explicit images and videos of children," the police stated.

Police stated that explicit content was circulated on 571 Telegram channels. They include 241,651 photos and 86,618 videos, including those of minors. The channels have now been seized by the police.

Police named the suspects as Zubair Ali, 45, Nasif Alif, 46, and Ismail Rabeeh, 29.

Police have appealed to victims of blackmailing to share information with the cyber crime center by contacting 9136262.
